On Sunday, Texas Motor Speedway saw several winners emerge from the Cup race, including Chase Elliott who ended a 42-race winless streak. He managed two overtime restarts to secure his first Cup victory since October 2022. Hendrick Motorsports also had a successful day at the track, winning five of the first nine races this season. William Byron has three wins, Kyle Larson has one, and now Chase Elliott has one as well.

Another notable winner was Brad Keselowski who finished in second place despite not having the best car on the track. This result was significant for him as he was outside a playoff spot going into Texas. Richard Childress Racing also had a good day, with Austin Dillon finishing a season-best eighth and Kyle Busch placing ninth. This marked the first time this year that RCR had both cars in the top 10.

However, there were also losers in Sunday’s race at Texas Motor Speedway. Alex Bowman was involved in an incident early on and finished a season-worst 37th, causing him to drop from 10th to 14th in points. Michael McDowell wrecked while dueling for the lead and finished in 35th place. Additionally, Ford suffered a loss as a car manufacturer, as they have yet to win this season in Cup, Xfinity or Trucks, resulting in no wins in 24 races across these three series.
