On the night of April 27, Russian troops launched a combined missile strike on Ukraine, according to reports from Meduza. The attack involved a total of 34 air, ground, and sea-based missiles. This included various types of missiles such as cruise missiles, guided air missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, aeroballistic missiles, and others.

The Ukrainian military reported that 21 Russian missiles were destroyed during the attack. One woman was injured in Kharkov when the third psychiatric hospital was hit by S-300 missiles. The hospital buildings suffered damage to windows, roofs, and interior decorations.

In addition to targeting Kharkov, Russian forces also attacked energy infrastructure in the Lviv, Dnepropetrovsk, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Several thermal power plants owned by the Ukrainian energy company DTEK were attacked in Lviv and Dnepropetrovsk regions resulting in destruction and fires at some facilities. Injuries were reported among employees at the targeted energy facilities in Lviv region. The Lviv region saw two critical energy infrastructure facilities being targeted causing fires and destruction but no residential infrastructure was damaged and there were no reported injuries. The Dnepropetrovsk region also experienced attacks on energy facilities leading to fires and interruptions in water supply. Overall, the combined missile strike by Russian troops had severe consequences on various regions in Ukraine with significant impact on civilian population and their livelihoods.
