As Southcentral Kentucky’s most comprehensive healthcare system, Med Center Health is committed to improving access to care for patients across the region. The health system is preparing to break ground on a new healthcare facility in Glasgow, signifying its expansion in Barren County. More than half of Med Center Health’s patients travel from areas outside of Warren County.

The originally scheduled ceremony was canceled due to inclement weather, but top executives and physicians who will be providing care at Med Center Glasgow are gearing up for the groundbreaking event scheduled for Thursday at 2 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the facility’s site located at 401 S. L. Rogers Wells Blvd., next to the Sherwin Williams paint store.

Contractor Scott, Murphy and Daniel, in collaboration with Stengel Hill Architecture, are leading the construction effort for the 22,000 square foot facility. The new facility will feature an outpatient diagnostic imaging center with state-of-the-art technology, providing services such as radiology, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine, CT, and MRI. Additionally, the facility will offer a range of specialties including Primary Care, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), Hematology/Oncology
