The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) stock markets experienced a mixed performance last week, with some indices rising and others falling. In Dubai, the market index saw a slight decline of 0.05% to 4244.15 points, while Abu Dhabi’s market rose by 0.1% to 9237.26 points. The Saudi market index ended the week with a 1.1% increase, closing at 12,705 points.

In Kuwait, the general market index declined by 0.75% over three sessions, closing at 7,271.82 points on Thursday before trading resumed on Sunday. Bahrain’s general index declined by 1.67% over five sessions, closing at 2,021.54 points on Friday. Qatar’s stock exchange index fell by 1.28% to 9816.30 points on Wednesday before recovering slightly on Friday and Saturday before trading was halted again due to unforeseen circumstances on Sunday night into Monday morning.

In Oman, the Muscat Stock Exchange index rose by just 0.16% to close at 4680.67 points on Thursday.
