The European Commission will be attending the Hannover Messe, a world-renowned industrial fair, from April 22 to 26, 2024. Their main objective is to emphasize the importance of improving the EU’s industrial competitiveness on a global scale. On the first day of the fair, there will be a conference followed by presentations and round tables in the stand auditorium, each focusing on a specific theme. This marks the third consecutive year that the EU has participated in this event, and they will also have a support corner for attendees to interact with industry experts and learn about relevant policies and financing opportunities.

The second day of the fair will be dedicated to European Energy Day, with the theme of “Clean, accessible and safe energy.” The day will feature a one-day conference with Mechthild Wörsdörfer, Deputy Director General of the Energy DG, covering various topics related to energy. Sessions will include discussions on the European Wind Energy Package, European Grids Action Plan, biomethane, hydrogen, solar energy, sustainable batteries, and energy efficiency. Additionally, a session will introduce a new voluntary initiative called “Code of Practice on Interoperable Smart Energy Appliances.”
