In 2024, Time magazine released its annual list of the “100 Most Influential People.” This year’s list featured individuals from a wide range of fields and included prominent women like singer Dua Lipa, actress Taraji P. Henson, and Yulia Navalnaya, leader of the Russian opposition.

Notably, women made up 51 out of the 100 people on the list. Among them were notable women such as Sofia Coppola, Kylie Minogue, Kelly Ripa, Rachel Goldberg-Pauline, and many others. Rachel Goldberg-Pauline is particularly noteworthy for being known as the mother of Hirsch, a US citizen kidnapped by Hamas terrorists in 2023.

The Time Hundred also featured prominent political figures such as Andriy Ermak, head of the office of the President of Ukraine; CIA Director William Burns; Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk; and Prime Minister of Qatar Muhammad bin Abdulrahman al-Thani. The youngest person on the list was 25-year-old photojournalist Mutaz Azaiza while the oldest was 86-year-old Joel Habener, a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.

In addition to recognizing influential individuals, the list also highlighted authors who wrote about them. For example, US President Joe Biden wrote about UAW union president Sean Fein while Mark Zuckerberg wrote about Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Michelle Obama wrote about American art museum curator Thelma Golden.
