However, he noted that some of his colleagues have shifted their priorities and have become more partisan, leading to actions that seem to disregard the Constitution.
In an interview with The Washington Post, Buck emphasized the need for consensus among conservatives in order to achieve success in passing legislation on Capitol Hill. Despite his conservative background, Buck was one of only three House Republicans who voted against the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in February. This incident serves as a reminder of the complexities within the conservative movement and the challenges it faces in maintaining unity.
