Polk State College’s Cardiovascular Technology Program for the 2024-2025 Academic Year is now open for applications from April 15 to June 30. This program, which leads to an Associate in Science in Cardiovascular Technology, prepares students to become cardiovascular technologists. These professionals assist physicians during procedures such as angioplasty and stenting, monitor patients’ hemodynamic status, and provide pre- and post-procedural care with professionalism and compassion. Graduates of the program often find employment in cardiac catheterization labs in hospitals and clinics as licensed healthcare associates.

The Cardiovascular Technology Program at Polk State College has a proven track record of success, with a 100% job placement rate and a 90% pass rate on credentialing exams on the first attempt from 2020 to 2022. This demonstrates the program’s effectiveness in preparing students for careers in this growing field. The demand for cardiovascular technologists and technicians is expected to increase by 10% from 2022 to 2032, faster than the average growth of other occupations according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
