The Aspen Institute has announced eight new speakers who will join over 150 leaders in various fields for the upcoming Aspen Ideas: Health gathering in June. These speakers, including Vivek Murthy, U.S. Surgeon General, Mandy Cohen, director of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Anne Wojcicki, co-founder and CEO of 23andMe, Peter Lee, president of Microsoft Research, Laura Deming, partner and founder of The Longevity Fund, Malama Tafuna’i, primary care physician and senior professional practice fellow at Va’a o Tautai, Barbara Natterson-Horowitz, professor of medicine at UCLA School of Medicine, and Joshua Roan, cellist and composer and creator of the Immunity Project.

The three-day convention will take place on the main Aspen Institute campus from June 20-23. During this time these leaders in health care, public health, policy, business and technology will discuss innovative approaches to addressing challenges in health medicine and science. This event leads into the Aspen Ideas Festival which runs from June 23-29 with Jane Fonda and Bill Maher as the first group of speakers announced earlier this month.
