The 2024 Faculty and Staff Awards Ceremony recognized 20 faculty and staff members for their outstanding achievements in teaching, research, leadership, and commitment to advancing the College of Public Health’s mission and values. Dean Perry commended the faculty and staff for their exceptional work, highlighting how their contributions have contributed to the continuous improvement of College programs. She attributed their hard work to the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings that evidenced the evolution of College programs.

Individuals from all departments within the College of Public Health (GCH, HAP, NUTR, SW, Nursing), College-wide staff, and those who have received honors at the university level were recognized during the ceremony. Lisa Joyner, Executive Director of Finance and Administration, and Cathy Tompkins, Associate Dean for Faculty and Staff Affairs presented awards personally congratulating each winner on their achievements in their respective categories.

The winners were nominated by colleagues who submitted nominations to department chairs. These nominations were reviewed by department chairs who selected official nominees. An ad hoc committee comprised of last year’s winners determined the final award recipients.
