The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that Rohit Sharma will lead the 15-member Indian cricket team for the men’s T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to take place in the West Indies and the USA in June. Hardik Pandya, who previously led the Indian T20 team in Rohit Sharma’s absence, has been selected as the vice-captain. Virat Kohli, the leading run-scorer at the IPL 2024, has also been included in the squad chosen by the selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar.
