On Thursday, the U.S. government was informed of a data breach that affected millions of members of Kaiser Permanente, a major healthcare provider in the United States. The Kaiser Foundation Health Plan stated that 13.4 million residents had their information compromised in the breach, which was reported on April 12.

The notice was made public on Thursday, and Kaiser Permanente emphasized that there have been no reports of any misuse of the personal information that was accessed. As a precautionary measure, they notified around 13.4 million current and former members and patients who accessed their websites and mobile applications. The breach at Kaiser has also been listed on the Department of Health and Human Services’ breach notification portal.
