Terri Wood, the president and owner of Woody’s Trucking Inc. in Willmar, has been recognized as the Women-Owned Small Business of the year for 2024 by the Small Business Administration’s Minnesota District Office. The business, which was originally founded in Lester Prairie and later relocated to Willmar due to its success in the area, has experienced significant growth since its move, expanding its fleet of trucks and acquiring a 17,600-square-foot building.

Under Terri Wood’s leadership, the business has flourished and now boasts a fleet of 18 trucks. Specializing in the transportation of fresh and frozen foods across 40 states, Woody’s Trucking is jointly managed by Terri and Mike Wood. The Women-Owned Small Business of the Year award is one of several honors bestowed during National Small Business Week, which takes place every May.
