In the seventh inning, Tennessee took a commanding 4-1 lead over Texas A&M in the College World Series. The Vols’ two-run home run by Dylan Dreiling was the only run they managed to score, while the Aggies failed to score any runs despite getting on base. Zane Badmaev started on the mound for Texas A&M, allowing two hits and striking out two batters in his only inning of work. Chris Cortez then relieved Badmaev and pitched four-and-one-third innings, allowing two hits and walking five while striking out seven. Kaiden Wilson took the loss after going two-and-a-third innings and giving up three hits, four earned runs, walking one, and striking out two.
