Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a successful business trip to China, attending the WEF Dalian Conference where he shared Vietnam’s story of innovation, integration, and development. The conference was held in Dalian city, Liaoning province, and the Prime Minister was invited by Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF founder Klaus Schwab.

During the conference, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of promoting science and innovation to create new growth engines. He also engaged with leaders of major WEF corporations to showcase Vietnam’s spirit of innovation and determination in transforming its growth model.

In bilateral activities, Prime Minister Chinh met with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Qiang, and other senior leaders to discuss specific directions and measures to promote cooperation between Vietnam and China. The two sides agreed to strengthen connections in various fields, promote trade cooperation, and enhance investment in areas such as transport infrastructure, digital economy, renewable energy, and sustainable tourism.

The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of properly handling disagreements and working together to maintain a peaceful and stable environment. He highlighted the need to comply with international law and preserve overall relations between the two countries. The discussions also focused on strengthening the social foundation for bilateral relations and promoting traditional friendly exchanges between Vietnam and China.
