Heather Wilson, the president of UTEP, has been appointed to the National Science Board, which oversees the National Science Foundation. This foundation has instructed UTEP to pause work on its Aerospace Center due to concerns with its grant proposal.
When reached out to for comment from Heather Wilson regarding her dual roles at UTEP and the NSB, a spokesperson informed us that she was unable to participate in an interview as she was traveling.
