Geauga County offices and two local school districts have recently partnered to enhance campus security by implementing the ZeroEyes system. This cutting-edge technology uses artificial intelligence to detect the presence of a firearm, even if only a small fraction of the weapon is visible to surveillance cameras.
On April 30, a demonstration of the ZeroEyes system was held at the Geauga County Office Building on Ravenwood Drive. During the presentation, Brett Handell, Vice President of Education and Local Government Solutions at ZeroEyes, explained how the AI system is integrated into the existing network of security cameras in the area. The system is currently being used in Berkshire and Chardon school districts and has proven to be highly effective in improving security measures.
If a firearm is detected by the ZeroEyes system, instant alerts are sent to the company’s security team, allowing quick and appropriate responses to potential threats. This advanced technology aims to provide a safer environment for students, staff, and visitors in participating school districts and county offices.
