As part of a new collaboration, UofL Health physicians will now oversee the medical care of Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC. The partnership provides players with a wide range of services and cutting-edge sports medicine. During the announcement, a special platform utilizing motion capture technology to assess the movement of athletes was showcased. This partnership will also benefit UofL Health as they will be able to utilize the research gathered while working with the players to enhance treatments for all patients in the future.

Head Coach of Racing Louisville, Beverly Yanez, expressed gratitude and excitement for the partnership, highlighting the privilege of having dedicated and knowledgeable individuals caring for the teams. With this new collaboration, soccer fans can anticipate seeing UofL Health’s name more prominently displayed at Lynn Family Stadium. Additionally, UofL Health has obtained naming rights to a field in the teams’ training facility.

In the near future, the soccer teams and UofL Health plan to implement a community initiative aimed at increasing access to soccer for children in underserved areas. This partnership signifies a merging of expertise and resources to provide top-notch medical care to athletes while also giving back to the local community.
