The 2023-24 winter high school sports season has come to a close, and it’s time to recognize the top athletes with the announcement of our Elite All-Star teams. More than 80 athletes from the coverage areas of the Binghamton Press & Sun Bulletin, Elmira Star-Gazette, Corning Leader, and Ithaca Journal have earned Elite accolades.

We have announced separate top athletes for each sport in the Greater Binghamton region and the Corning/Elmira/Ithaca region. Elite selections were primarily based on voting from coaches, with some input from the sports departments of the newspapers. Not all coaches participated in the voting process.

The Elite 7 Boys Track & Field Team for the Corning/Elmira/Ithaca area has been revealed for the 2023-24 season, highlighting the top performers in that sport. Similarly, we have announced an Elite 7 Girls Track & Field Team for this region to showcase talented female athletes.

The standout basketball players in high school sports are also recognized with two teams: The Elite 15 Boys Basketball Team and Elite 15 Girls Basketball Team for Greater Binghamton region. For wrestling enthusiasts, we have showcased an Elite 15 Boys Wrestling Team and a talented group of swimmers and divers in an Elite 10 Boys Swimming & Diving Team.

Lastly, we celebrate high school bowlers who excelled during winter sports season by announcing an Elite Boys Bowling Team and an Elite Girls Bowling Team for Greater Binghamton region.
