In the second round of the UCI Gravel World Series in 2024, held in Germany, Jonas Koch and Carolin Schiff emerged victorious in the men’s and women’s races respectively. The women’s race was a close battle between Schiff and Janine Schneider, with Schiff securing the win by crossing the line just one second ahead of Schneider. Maaike Colje took third place, finishing within a minute of the winning time. The men’s race saw Koch finish 38 seconds ahead of runner-up Daan Soete, with Petr Vakoc coming in just two seconds behind Soete.

The Hegau Gravel Race took place on a challenging 136km course consisting of two 52km laps and a 32km lap, with a total elevation gain of 2,710m. This UCI Gravel World Series event offered riders an opportunity to qualify for the UCI Gravel World Championships in Belgium in October.

In the men’s elite category, top finishers included Hendrix Mees, Hellemose Asbjorn, and Georg Egger. The women’s elite category saw top performers such as Wendy Oosterwoud, Maude Farrell, and Klara Sofie Skovgaard Hansen.
