In Cleveland, Ohio, another Indian student, Uma Satya Sai Gadde, has tragically passed away under mysterious circumstances. Gadde, a Telugu student, was pursuing higher studies in a college in Cleveland. The officials have not disclosed further details about the incident. This unfortunate incident adds to a series of similar incidents involving Indian students in the US since the beginning of this year.

The Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) has petitioned for an independent FBI investigation into the deaths of 12 Indian students in the US. The consulate general in New York has received over 175 responses expressing concern over the alarming number of deaths within the Indian community. One of the respondents, K Guru, has listed 14 names of Indian students who have passed away in the US including Gadde.

The reasons for these deaths vary from murders, suspicious deaths, accidents, and other unknown causes. In response to these tragic events, GHHF has launched an online petition to advocate for the safety of Indian students studying abroad. The petition has received nearly 5,900 signatures, highlighting the urgent need for action to ensure the safety of Indian students in the US. The consulate general of India in New York has confirmed that a police investigation is ongoing and they are in touch with the student’s family to arrange for the transportation of his mortal remains to India.
