Unilever, a prominent global supplier of beauty, personal care, home care, nutrition, and ice cream products with sales in over 190 countries and products used by 3.4 billion people daily, has announced the appointment of Matt Gregory as the chief customer officer for customer business development in the U.S., effective June 17th. In his new role, Gregory will be responsible for managing the sales of Unilever USA’s $9 billion U.S. brand portfolio by creating and nurturing strategic customer partnerships.

Herrish Patel, the president of Unilever USA, praised Gregory’s 28 years of leadership in the consumer products industry, highlighting his expertise in driving growth, innovation, and value, as well as his commitment to building talent, teams, and culture. Gregory previously held leadership roles in the health and beauty business at The Clorox Co., where he achieved exceptional growth and surpassed targets in challenging environments. He also served as the president of Burt’s Bees and led Clorox’s Walmart U.S. business before joining Unilever.

Unilever is known for its diverse range of brands that cater to different needs and preferences across various product categories such as beauty and personal care (Dove), home care (Knorr), nutrition (Nutrafol), ice cream (Ben & Jerry’s), among many others. With a strong presence in North America, Unilever employs 127,000 people globally generated sales of €59.6 billion (US $64.9 billion) in 2023.
