An 8-year-old Pekingese named Wild Thang has finally won the World’s Ugliest Dog contest at the Sonoma Marin County Fair in Petaluma, Calif. on Friday. This was the fourth time that Wild Thang had competed in the event, having come in second place three times before finally clinching the crown. The competition featured eight unique and unconventional dogs, each with their own special attributes that made them stand out.

The runner-up and People’s Choice award winner was Rome, a 14-year-old pug owned by Michelle Grady. She praised Rome for his amazing personality and popularity among the crowd. The winner of this year’s contest received a trophy and a prize of $5,000.

The event drew a large crowd and celebrated the diversity and individuality of pets. It showcased that every dog has its own unique qualities that make them special in their own way. Congratulations to Wild Thang and all the participants in this year’s contest!
