Kristaps Porzingis, the injured star Boston Celtics big man, has been out of action since the first round series with the Miami Heat due to a strained right soleus. Despite working towards a return, the exact timeline for his comeback remains uncertain.

To gain more insights into Porzingis’ condition and potential return date, CLNS Media reporter Bobby Manning spoke with sports doctor Dr. Jessica Flynn. Flynn shared her perspective on Porzingis’ lingering calf injury and speculated on his status entering the 2024 NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks, which is set to begin on June 6.

According to Dr. Flynn, Porzingis’ calf injury is not improving as quickly as expected and he may need more time before he can return to play. However, she believes that with proper rehab and rest, he may be able to make a comeback in time for the Finals.
