Kazakhstan and the United States have met four times at the world championship, with Team USA emerging victorious in all four games. In their most recent encounter during the preliminary round of the 2021 men’s worlds, the U.S. won 3-0, with Cal Petersen saving 18 shots and goals from Adam Clendening, Trevor Moore, and Jack Drury.

The U.S., with a record of 3-0-1-1 in five games, is currently leading Kazakhstan 4-1 in their matchup during the World Cup. Captain Brady Tkachuk has been instrumental in this success, scoring four points to lead the team alongside Pinto with seven points each. Matt Boldy and Johnny Gaudreau have also contributed six points each to the team’s offensive efforts.

Kazakhstan has yet to record a victory in this year’s tournament, having lost three out of their five matches so far. However, they did manage to defeat France by a score of 3-1 in one of their games. With Alex Lyon injured and unable to play, Charlie Lindgren has been added to the U.S. roster as a replacement goalie and is expected to join the team soon in Ostrava.
