UCLA Health, a leading healthcare provider in Los Angeles, has recently acquired a 260-bed hospital from HCA Healthcare’s Far West division. The hospital, previously known as West Hills Hospital and Medical Center, will now be renamed UCLA West Valley Medical Center.

The acquisition was finalized on March 29 and included a commitment from UCLA Health to retain the majority of the healthcare professionals and support staff who were previously employed by HCA Healthcare. This decision aims to provide continuity of care for patients and support the transition to UCLA Health ownership.

As part of its strategy to address hospital inpatient capacity needs in the region, UCLA Health has decided to acquire the hospital. The announcement of the acquisition was made in January, and UCLA Health is looking forward to expanding its services and capabilities with the addition of UCLA West Valley Medical Center. With this new facility, UCLA Health aims to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients in the west valley area of Los Angeles.
