On Saturday, the Russia Soyuz capsule landed safely in Kazakhstan, marking the successful completion of another mission to the International Space Station. The capsule touched down on a lawn near the southeastern city of Jezkazgan, as confirmed by the Russian space agency Roscosmos.

Three crew members were aboard the ISS: Loral O’Hara from the United States, Marina Vasilevska from Belarus, and Oleg Novitsky from Russia. Upon landing, all three crew members were immediately subjected to a standard medical examination. O’Hara had been aboard the ISS since September 2023, while Vasilevska and Novitsky arrived just 12 days before the return to Earth.

Vasilevska made history as the first Belarusian woman to travel to space. She is a flight instructor and flight attendant for the airline company Belavia. Novitsky was on his fourth mission to the ISS and was originally scheduled to travel two days earlier, but technical issues canceled the launch. Luckily, there were no reported problems during their return journey to Earth.

Their safe return marks another successful mission to the International Space Station.
