The Minnesota Timberwolves have announced that star player Karl-Anthony Towns has been cleared for full-contact, 5-on-5 basketball activities. Towns underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus last month and has been sidelined since March 4. The Timberwolves initially stated that he would be out for at least a month, but with the latest announcement, it appears that his recovery has gone according to plan.

Towns has been averaging 22.1 points and 8.4 rebounds per game this season and played a significant role in the Timberwolves’ successful season. With just four games left in the regular season, the Timberwolves are in first place in the Western Conference standings, closely followed by the Denver Nuggets and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Under head coach Chris Finch, the Timberwolves have made three consecutive postseason trips and hope to advance further this year.

The star player’s return will undoubtedly have a significant impact on their playoff performance as Towns could be the key to helping the team end their playoff drought and make a strong postseason run. With his impressive play on court, Towns has become one of the most valuable players in the league and his comeback will only strengthen his reputation even further.
