The Oklahoma City Thunder has finally snapped their playoff series drought since 2016, defeating the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round of the Western Conference postseason. After a hard-fought game on Monday night, the Thunder managed to sweep the Pelicans with a score of 97-89. Despite facing a five-point deficit in the fourth quarter, key three-point shots from Josh Giddey and Jalen Williams helped OKC secure the victory.

Jalen Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA) led the Thunder to their series win over the Pelicans, scoring 24 points each. With this win, Oklahoma City now has some time off as they wait to face the winner of the series between the Dallas Mavericks and the LA Clippers, which is currently tied at 2-2. Game five of that series will take place on Wednesday in LA. The Thunder is looking to carry their momentum into the next round of the playoffs after this exciting series win.
