The musical “The Sabbath Girl” will make its world premiere at Penguin Rep Theatre in Stony Point, New York from May 3 to May 26. This marks the beginning of the theatre’s 46th season and is directed by Artistic Director Joe Brancato.

The story follows Angie Mastrantoni, an art gallery owner who is not looking for romance until a neighbor unexpectedly enters her life. The production features Marilyn Caserta, Diana Di Marzio, Rory Max Kaplan, Lauren Singerman, and Max Wolkowitz in leading roles.

The set design will be done by Christopher and Justin Swader, with costume design by Gregory Gale and lighting design by Jamie Roderick. Sound design will be handled by Kwamina Biney among other talented designers.

Musical supervision and arrangements will be done by Wendy Bobbit Cavett, with musical direction by Matthew Lowy and orchestrations by Alex Wise. Ryan Kasprzak will provide movement consultation while Michael Palmer serves as the production stage manager for the show. Tickets can be purchased on the theatre’s website.
