In the United States, there are numerous iconic sports venues that fans can visit to watch their favorite teams. Researchers at E-conolight recently conducted a study comparing Google search trends of over 700 venues across the country over the last five years to determine the top sports stadium in each state.
The study found that some states have longstanding iconic venues, such as Dodger Stadium, Fenway Park, and Madison Square Garden. However, South Dakota’s most popular venue is one of the newest on the list. The Sanford Pentagon, which opened in 2013, is the most-searched stadium in South Dakota and is one of only two venues on the list that primarily features an NBA G League team.
In neighboring states, Minnesota’s top venue is US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, while Iowa’s is Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Each state has its own unique favorite sports venue based on search trends over the past five years.
