The interest of Atalanta in Milan’s Saelemaekers has been growing, and the club is considering a potential deal worth €12 million for the winger. Following a successful season with Bologna, Saelemaekers has attracted interest from other Serie A clubs, including Atalanta. However, AC Milan has been planning his departure for a year now, as evidenced by the buy clause inserted in his loan deal.

Initially, it seemed that Saelemaekers could stay with Bologna next season under coach Thiago Motta. However, with Motta leaving the club, the buy clause was not activated. Motta’s interest in the winger remains, and he may try to bring him to Juventus to rebuild their squad.

Atalanta’s interest in Saelemaekers comes after they were linked with Daniel Maldini recently. The negotiations for Saelemaekers may not have started yet, as Atalanta’s recent signing of Charles De Ketelaere could be a factor.
