A plane crash has claimed the lives of two individuals at Chino Airport. The incident occurred shortly after takeoff, with a twin-engine Lockheed 12A crashing around 12:35 p.m. No additional passengers were on board, and there were no injuries to individuals on the ground.

The deceased individuals were part of a Father’s Day event at the Yanks Air Museum. Witnesses reported that the plane took a sharp left turn before going down and ultimately crashing. The immediate explosion upon impact was described by witnesses, with the left wing of the plane where the fuel was located being the first point of contact.

The cause of the crash remains unknown, prompting an investigation by both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). An NTSB investigator is expected to be on-site to document the scene, examine the aircraft, and recover it for further evaluation.
