On Friday, the Giants completed the process of signing their draft class by finalizing a deal with safety Tyler Nubin. He was the last of their six picks to agree to contract terms. Nubin, a second-round pick, signed a four-year deal with the NFC East team.

During his time at Minnesota, Nubin played in 55 games and started in 43 of them. He achieved a school record with 13 interceptions as a Golden Gopher and also accumulated 207 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, 24 passes defensed, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

Nubin has a clear opportunity to earn a starting job in the Giants’ secondary with Xavier McKinney no longer on the team. Barring any major mistakes during the preseason, it is likely that Nubin will be able to solidify his position as a starter for the upcoming season.
