The Detroit Regional Chamber is proud to celebrate its 2024 Crain’s Detroit Business Notable Leaders in Sustainability honorees, including Board Chair Matt Elliott and President of Bank of America Michigan. According to Crain’s, this year’s honorees are outstanding executives, nonprofit leaders, and entrepreneurs who are making significant strides towards zero emissions, supporting environmental justice efforts, and implementing green solutions.

Elliott’s award profile highlights his work with his sustainability team in engaging over 40,000 clients in sustainability principles to help grow their businesses. He led the training of all Bank of America’s commercial banking and business banking managers on achieving net-zero operations, with over 1,200 commercial relationship managers receiving training. In addition, he played a key role in supporting the bank’s $1.5 trillion sustainable finance commitment.

The Chamber also extends congratulations to the following honorees from member companies for their notable recognition in sustainability:
