Apple is rumored to introduce the color-infused back glass system on the iPhone 16 Pro, following its successful implementation on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The new feature is expected to enhance durability and provide more vibrant colors.

According to a post on Chinese social media site Weibo, Apple plans to use the same color-infusing technology for the iPhone 16 Pro that was first introduced on the iPhone 15 models in 2023. The back glass is said to be strengthened using a dual-ion exchange process, polished with nanocrystalline particles, and etched to create a luxurious matte finish. The aerospace-grade aluminum enclosure of the phone will also feature a contoured edge for added comfort.

Rumors about the colors of the iPhone 16 Pro have been inconsistent, with some suggesting that it may come in Space Black, White, Gray, and Rose, while others suggest that it may come in yellow or cement colors. However, if this rumor holds true, it would be a departure from Apple’s usual practice of introducing new features on the Pro models first before trickling them down to regular models in subsequent years.

While this leaker has shared more Apple rumors this year than previous years, their track record for accuracy is not strong. As such, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt until officially confirmed by Apple itself.
