Tesla recently announced plans to open a new world’s largest Supercharger station in Yeehaw Junction, Florida, with an impressive 200 stalls. This station will surpass the previous record held by a 164-stall station in California. The location of Yeehaw Junction along three major highways connecting south and central Florida makes it an ideal spot for a charging station. Tesla is making a significant investment in this new project.

The current site in Yeehaw Junction only has a truck stop with a Dunkin’ and Subway. It will be interesting to see if the new massive Supercharger station will attract more amenities to the location or if Tesla will bring its own. The infrastructure for electric vehicles is crucial to their adoption, and Tesla has been proactive in addressing this issue. With the Supercharger network now open to all other EVs, there have been concerns about increased stress on the network. However, it is reassuring to see Tesla building larger charging stations in anticipation of higher usage.

Tesla is also planning to include pull-through stalls at its new stations to accommodate vehicles with trailers as EVs become larger and more capable of towing. This investment in infrastructure and support for various EV needs is a positive step towards the future of electric vehicles.
