The Kuwaiti Public Prosecution has referred 12 high school students to trial for state security crimes related to their involvement with the terrorist organization ISIS. Meanwhile, the government has postponed the opening session of the National Assembly from April 17 to May 14. Caretaker Prime Minister Sheikh Muhammad Sabah Al-Salem reportedly apologized for not forming the next government, and sources suggest that Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah may be appointed to lead the government.

The decision to postpone the opening session is based on Article 106 of the Constitution, which allows for a one-time postponement of up to a month. The source also revealed that some defendants in terrorist cells had communicated with the students to recruit them and further their criminal activities. Many of the students refused to join and reported their activities, leading to their exclusion from any criminal accusations. However, investigations continue to uncover the extent of involvement and influence of terrorist organizations on vulnerable individuals in Kuwait.
