In the quiet neighborhood of Toledo, Ohio, Tre’Shawn Pittard had made a name for himself as a young entrepreneur when he was just 11 years old. He was introduced to the community through his lawnmowing business, which he started by mowing lawns for neighbors. Now, nearly two years later, that same community is mourning the theft of his lawnmower.

Tre’Shawn shared his thoughts on the incident, saying “So, I was coming back from cutting grass and I put it on the porch. I went inside to go cool down and they stole it.” The theft occurred last year and left Tre’Shawn without a working lawnmower. However, after 13 Action News highlighted his business, he received a donation of a brand new lawnmower. But even that was stolen after only 2 months of use.

Tre’Shawn explained that he had other mowers that were damaged or in need of repair, leaving him unable to fulfill requests for lawn service. Despite the setbacks, Tre’Shawn remained determined to restart his business. He expressed how mowing lawns gave him something to do and kept him from being idle while at home. With requests for lawn service coming in, he hopes to have his business up and running again before he starts 7th Grade in the Fall. His mother, Diamond, shared that they are in need of a lawnmower, gas, and oil to get started again.
