Ian Lyall is a seasoned journalist and editor with over three decades of experience in the field. He currently serves as Managing Editor at Proactive, where he oversees the company’s editorial and broadcast operations across six offices on three continents. In this role, Ian is responsible for quality control, editorial policy, and content production.
Under his leadership, the Proactive team produces 50,000 pieces of real-time news, feature articles, and filmed interviews annually. The content is produced independently by experienced and qualified teams of news journalists who are well-versed in medium and small-cap markets, blue-chip companies, commodities, and broader investment stories. The goal of the team is to excite and engage motivated private investors with news and unique insights on biotech and pharma, mining and natural resources, battery metals, oil and gas, crypto, and emerging digital and EV technologies.
Proactive has always been at the forefront of embracing technology. While the human content creators have decades of expertise, the team uses technologies to enhance workflows. They occasionally use automation and software tools, including generative AI. However, all content published by Proactive is edited and authored by humans to ensure the best practices in content production and search engine optimization are followed.
