Ty Gibbs has claimed the pole position for the second race of the weekend at the Coca-Cola 600. He also won the pole for the Xfinity Series race on Saturday. Gibbs was one of four Toyota drivers to reach the final round of qualifying, with Christopher Bell, Martin Truex Jr., and Tyler Reddick also posting competitive lap times.

William Byron was the fastest Chevrolet driver, securing a spot on the front row next to Gibbs. All four Hendrick Motorsports cars qualified inside the top 10, with Chase Elliott, Alex Bowman, and Kyle Larson also putting in strong performances.

In the Xfinity Series BetMGM 300, tensions rose between Cole Custer and Austin Hill as they crashed during the race at the 1.5-mile track. Ross Chastain was the fifth Chevrolet driver to reach the second round of qualifying, while Michael McDowell was the sole Ford driver to advance to the second round and qualify ninth.
