Montenegro winger Sead Haksabanovic, who has scored once in 33 matches for his national team, has signed a four-year deal with Swedish champions Malmo. The Sweden-born midfielder joined Celtic from Rubin Kazan for a reported £2.5m fee in August 2022 but fell out of favor after the return of Brendan Rodgers last summer and was loaned to Stoke City for the duration of last season.

Haksabanovic, who is 25 years old, will wear number 29 for Malmo and could make his debut in the home match against his former club Halmstads on July 7th. Born in Hyltebruk in the south of Sweden, he made his debut aged 15 for nearby Halmstads before moving to West Ham United in 2017. However, his time with the Hammers was mainly spent on loan to Norrkoping and Spanish club Malaga before he joined the Swedish club permanently.
