Leaders from across North Carolina gathered at the UNC Friday Center to discuss ways to share resources and support struggling communities. According to NCDHHS, suicide is a significant issue in North Carolina, with it being the second leading cause of death for youth aged 10 to 18 and the third leading cause of death for those aged 19 to 34.

The meeting lasted until 6:00 p.m., providing an opportunity for leaders to strategize and share best practices in suicide prevention. The summit highlighted the importance of working together to support individuals in crisis and promote mental health awareness across North Carolina.
