On Friday, residents and businesses in Windsor, Connecticut were still struggling to recover from the powerful thunderstorms that hit on Wednesday. The cleanup efforts were expected to take a significant amount of time as crews worked tirelessly to clear debris and restore power.

One of the most significant impacts of the storm was the tree that crashed through a home on Robin Road. The damage was widespread, leaving many residents without electricity and struggling to get back to normal.

Eversource reported that tens of thousands of people were left without power after the storm. While progress had been made in restoring electricity, there were still a couple thousand customers waiting for their power to be restored. Local businesses were also feeling the impact of the storms, with some having to throw out inventory due to power outages affecting their ability to keep ingredients cool.

Business owners in the area expressed surprise at the severity of the storm and its effects on their operations. Michael Androw from E&D Pizza Company lamented the loss of their inventory ahead of a busy “pizza Friday,” noting that they would have to start from scratch in preparing for the day. Despite the challenges faced by businesses and residents, power crews were working hard to restore electricity as quickly as possible to minimize the storm’s impact on the community.
