Mike Terango, the owner of a stolen trailer next to his Fort Lauderdale business, was able to track it down without help from the police. On Friday, just a few miles away from where it was taken, Terango discovered the trailer. Surprisingly, a friend of the thief contacted him to inform him of its location in order to claim the $10,000 cash reward that Terango had offered.

As of Friday night, no arrests had been made in connection with the theft. The surveillance video obtained exclusively by 7News captured the theft and showed the thief driving off with the trailer. Despite this, Terango was grateful for his friend’s assistance in locating his property.

The incident serves as a reminder that even in cases where law enforcement may not be able to assist, there are always ways to track down stolen property through social networks and other means. It is important for businesses and individuals to take proactive measures to protect their assets and consider offering rewards for information leading to recovery.
