The Steelers made several roster moves on Monday, including signing their first-round pick Troy Fautanu and wide receiver Jaray Jenkins. The team also waived defensive back Luq Barcoo with an injury designation.

Jenkins had previously been with the Jaguars during the preseason but was not able to make the final roster cut. However, he had shown promise during that time, making two catches for 32 yards in their games. Now, he will have a chance to make an impact with the Steelers as they look to bolster their receiving corps.

In a corresponding move, Barcoo had previously been on Pittsburgh’s practice squad and had played in three games for the Jaguars in 2020, recording 10 tackles and one pass defensed. He was waived by the Steelers with an injury designation on Monday.

Fautanu is expected to be a valuable addition to the lineup as well, as he was selected in the first round of the NFL draft this year. The Steelers are excited about his potential and believe he can make a big impact on the team’s defense.
