The St. Louis Science Center is hosting a series of eclipse events today that are free and family-friendly. The public is invited to attend without needing a ticket. The main event of the day will be a live NASA video stream starting at noon in the Planetarium Theater, coinciding with the peak of the eclipse in St. Louis at 2 p.m.

While St. Louis is not in the path of totality, where the eclipse is fully visible, the city will still witness a partial eclipse with 99 percent of the sun blocked by the moon. Will Snyder from the Science Center recommends those who can travel to the path of totality, just an hour’s drive south of St. Louis, to do so for the best viewing experience.

For those who cannot make it to totality, FOX 2 has got you covered with up-to-date news, weather, sports and streaming video for your viewing pleasure. Make sure to enjoy this exciting celestial event safely and don’t forget to share your experiences with us!
