The StoryWalk at Springettsbury Township Park is a fantastic new addition for children like 6-year-old Jack Miller. With funding from the KidsFirst Fund through WellSpan, Springettsbury Township and York County Libraries have introduced this unique feature that combines parks, walks, and stories.

Jack couldn’t think of anything better than this new activity. Families can take a leisurely stroll while reading a story together along the path in the park. The pages from children’s books are displayed on each side of the trail, providing an interactive and fun way to learn for local community members and their families.

Kids like Jack have already had the chance to explore this new feature, and they have been thoroughly impressed with it. Jack enjoyed being able to read while walking outside, which was a great way to get some exercise while enjoying his favorite books. His dad, John Miller, appreciated the opportunity to be active while sharing a book that appealed to a wide audience and was suitable for Jack’s reading level.

The stories on the StoryWalk will be changed periodically throughout the year, providing even more exciting learning experiences for everyone who visits. This new feature is sure to become a favorite among children and families alike, so don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to explore nature while getting some exercise and having fun!
