As the spring sports season nears its end and postseason play approaches, it is time to announce the Tribune’s Athlete of the Week. Last week’s winners were Katie Slade from Great Falls High track and Chad Wyman from Great Falls High tennis. Every week, two girls and two boys will be nominated for this honor, with the audience selecting the winner through a poll.

Athletic directors, coaches, parents, and fans are encouraged to send in nominations for Athlete of the Week from all sports in northcentral Montana. Submissions can be sent to sports reporter Grady Higgins at ghiggins@greatfallstribune.com. Voting for this week’s poll will be open until Friday at 11:59 p.m., with the winners being announced in the following week’s Athlete of the Week story.

This week’s nominees for the girls include Harley Brown from CMR softball, who had five RBIs and earned a win as the starting pitcher, and Addi Kynett from Great Falls High track, who set a personal record in the triple jump. For the boys, Tristan Watson from Great Falls High track won the high jump event, and Josh Stimac from CMR tennis helped his team to victory in a dual match.

Congratulations to all the nominees
