Darren Rovell, a sports business journalist, has recently launched CLLCT, a media website dedicated to covering the sports collectibles industry. The website has attracted support from high net-worth individuals, raising $4 million in funding from investors such as David Blitzer’s Bolt Ventures and Gabe Plotkin’s Tallwoods Capital.

Rovell expressed confidence in CLLCT’s revenue potential, stating that they aim to be a top source for promoting and advertising within the industry while maintaining journalistic integrity. The website will provide news and insights into the multibillion-dollar sports collectibles and memorabilia market. A team of journalists from ESPN, Fox Sports, and CNBC will oversee coverage.

CLLCT’s management team includes Kevin Jackson as the chief content officer, Ted Bishop as the chief product officer, and Matt Liberman overseeing the cllctv TV network. In addition to sports collectibles, CLLCT will cover historical collectibles in the pop culture world that are making headlines.

Rovell emphasized the lack of comprehensive coverage in the sports collectibles industry. He stated that CLLCT aims to fill that gap and provide collectors with a one-stop shop for all their needs. With backing from prominent investors and experienced professionals in the industry, CLLCT is poised to become a leading voice in sports collectibles journalism.
